Boston Celtics Injury Report: Who's In, Who's Out?

The Boston Celtics are keeping a close eye on three players on the injury report ahead of Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Miami Heat. Robert Williams III (knee), Al Horford (back), and Marcus Smart (ankle) are all listed as questionable for Tuesday's game.

Williams has been dealing with a sore left knee since the first round of the playoffs. He missed Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals, but returned to play in Game 2. However, he was limited to just 17 minutes in that game and did not start. Horford has been dealing with a sore lower back since the start of the playoffs. He has played through the pain, but he has been limited in his minutes. Smart has been dealing with a sprained right ankle since Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Milwaukee Bucks. He missed Game 3 of that series, but returned to play in Game 4. However, he was limited to just 24 minutes in that game and did not start.

The Celtics are hoping to have all three players available for Game 3. However, if any of them are unable to play, the Celtics will have to make some adjustments to their lineup. Grant Williams could start at center in place of Robert Williams III. Horford could move to center and Jayson Tatum could start at power forward. Smart could start at point guard if he is unable to play.
