Argentina's monthly inflation rate remains high despite slight decrease
Consumer Price Index CPI went up 4 in July
The National Institute of Statistics and Census INDEC reported that Argentina's inflation rate was 4% in July 2024, the lowest monthly increase since early 2023.
However, the annual inflation rate remains high at 27.15%, according to government data published Friday.
This news comes as a disappointment to Argentinians who have been struggling with rising prices for months.
The government has implemented a number of measures to try to control inflation, but so far they have had little effect.
